Really Great Day

Great weather, good tractor and a great chainsaw.
Went out today to work with the new EA Wicked on my Kub. Getting more agile at it. Starting to get where I don't have to think about the 3rd function or the loader controls. Used the grapple to hold the root ball while I separated the log. Then held the logs up off the ground while I chunked them into 8 footers. All stacked neatly and ready to be turned into firewood. Limbed about 20 and managed to get about 10 out and sectioned. All of them started out at about 40-50 feet plus root balls. Husky 562 XP making lots of chips.

Hard to think of a better labor saver than a tractor with a grapple....!

It could be done without the tractor, not nearly as fast and a lot more work. Id just cut them into 16" logs where they lay. Then throw them all on a PU and tote them wherever you store it. The tractor is definitely more fun.
