Reading TBN is expensive!

I've saved lots because buying a tractor is cheaper than paying someone to come out and do the same thing (with less panache).

and you forget the money save on "shrinks", "yoga", and stress seminars ... just you and the great outdoors ( and a tractor of any size )

It will make things a lot easier here that's for sure, all in all, best move I've made in a long time, should have done it many years ago. Please excuse my ramble, I'm not bit**in , actually it is a new but expensive passion. Am I going crazy or do other people suffer from this disease?

You are not going crazy, most all of us here suffer from this disease and so far there is no known cure... even if there was I doubt we would accept it.

You may have the incurable disease known as Tractoritis :fever:.
Diesel and grease on the dry itchy spots are the only known treatment.

Symptoms may include 600 watt worklights :lightbulb:, new tractor only tools :wrench:, excessive TBN browsing :reading:, need for a new workshop :blacksmith:, :steeringwheel: spinner from TSC, beat up fingers and hands:bandaid:, : sudden need for lots of :dollarsign:, one really ed off wife, etc!!

Look, if you buy a snowmobile or a boat, you have thrown most of your money away.

I always say, if you buy a good gently used piece of equipment and take care of it, you can basically always sell it for what you paid. And if it doesn't quite get you that much money, it's well worth the difference for the work it has done and money it has saved you from hiring or renting equipment.

This is how I justify this to myself and others who may ask.

I love new equipment, and my Dad always told me to buy new, but frankly you had better be sure that it is the right equipment and you had better keep it for a long time.

I have been stuck, trying to get my money back out of newly bought equipment and it's nearly impossible!
