Funny story! Your neighbors must be thankful that you have will power!

Google map has been pretty responsive to update for me. I might do the neighborly thing and update addresses for my neighbors. Apple Maps have been less so. There is a supposed right turn in our straight road that Apple maps insists is a waypoint and a turn. I can't seem to convince them otherwise.

A friend owns a storage facility and Google map insists on placing it a mile away.
Big problem is that a competitor is near the Google position.

Friend is quite computer literate but can't convince Google to make the correction.

I also have Google map problems.
More than a few times I've had unwanted visitors at my door claiming they directed by Google map.
Not fun at 1:00 am when he's stuck and I have to fire the tractor to pull him out.

Well our saga continues with having food deliveries coming to our house instead of going to the correct address.

Wife came home tonight and found someone's door dash order on our front steps from Jersey Mike's subs. Been there since 12:10 according to the delivery time on the receipt.

Wife called the restaraunt, and they said to call door dash. The person at door dash was pretty rude. Door dash mentioned that the person had already called and complained that they didn't receive there food. We could either keep it or give it to someone who needs it.

Wife tossed the sandwich. Kept the sealed and wrapped cookies

Door Dash is always rude.
They can't handle special notes in an order, even though the restaurant can.
They just canceled my order and that was the third (and last) time they could not complete an order properly.
The other 2 didn't even have special requests, they just failed outright.
I would rather get in my car and drive then use them again.

Seems like all their staff is unhappy and willing to let you know.

For years I get delivery notices for Door Dash and gave up trying to correct...

Hopefully it wasn't to pay a bill. I had a check for an auto insurance premium returned about 3 weeks after I had mailed it, all folded up like it had gotten jammed in someplace. I don't recall if it had been cancelled by then or not.

My medical insurance company has a program with CVS where we can order Over The Counter items to be shipped to us at home. I placed a fairly large order on the 11th and was notified by email on the 18th as shipped. FedEx showed it coming from southern Florida, then to Ellenwood, GA on the 17th, then to Southaven, MS on the 21st according to their public tracking site. First scheduled delivery date was the 20th which I knew wouldn't happen. Now it shows due today even though it's no where close. After fighting with their ChatBot and the infernal voice response system on their 800 number, I was able to find a direct number to their corporate offices and explained the whole thing.

Their internal tracking still shows it in GA and they don't know where the MS information came from. They're supposedly researching it and will have the local office near me call me later today or tomorrow.

My favorite updates from USPS is when it still shows the package moving around, after it arrived.
Twice so far...
Fedex has been doing better for us lately.
Amazon van decided to make tracks in my lawn, guess those bigger vans have trouble seeing where the front wheels are?
My mailman and UPS guy both are keeping up the great work.

It's been quite a while since I've had any meds shipped from CVS. But when they did, they shipped regular USPS.

Can you specify who they use to ship you the meds?

I have a shot that comes from CVS specialty pharmacy. That one gets shipped UPS. It's been pretty accurate so far. I'll get a notice when the package ships. Usually around 4pm. It's sitting on my door step the next day.

I've only had it go to two days before delivery on a couple occasions.

I thought I would save money on a tire studding tool by ordering from alibaba with express Air shipping, took a month and DHL handed off to USPS.
Package made it but the name was not even close to mine. Wife refused it.

DHL marked it as delivered and the supplier said DHL says delivered.

Had to quickly call local post office and have the package held.
Sure enough it was the correct package and because our local post office is very well run I didn't lose a couple hundred dollar tool.
It was pure luck because DHL does not have USPS tracking info when they hand the package off so there was no way to track it at that point.

Alibaba asked how the transaction went.
I told them that this transaction was enough to make it very unlikely to ever order through them again.

Amazon /shipping has been great to terrible lately.
TV died Thursday evening before the Superbowl. Looked at a few on amazon picked one on sale and at a good price and selected free prime delivery before 10 am Saturday.

Saturday at 9 am TV arrived.
Ordered a heavy duty extension cord, prime 2 day shipping 8 days ago and maybe tomorrow it will arrive.
No rhyme or reason,
I kid my granddaughter when FED EX messes up, since she works for them.

Not that I saw. None of this is perishable or time sensitive. Cold meds, vitamins, allergy stuff, antacids, thermometer, waterpik, wrist BP gizmo, etc.

Friend of mine called me to say his package arrived that had been lost since July.
The box was in terrible shape. No one could tell him where it had been. It had been shipped UPS. Amazon had long since refunded his money so he got a freebie.

I had one problem in the 40+ years out here. A package had to be signed for. They would not come down the driveway to the house. Got a yellow slip - pkg was left at local PO. Picked it up two days later.

Now - pkgs are put in plastic garbage bag and hung on outer gate. I get an email indicating delivery. Works fine for me.

I bought a Reelcraft retractable 12 AWG power cord reel that delivered yesterday. The box was beat up pretty bad but after opening it up I noticed very poor factory packaging that allowed the 44 lb. cord real to flop around in the box so I cannot blame the shipping company. The reel was undamaged, so I guess it was boxed well enough.

This (below) is the best tracking info I have seen. It starts clearly with “Label Created”.
USPS and it is tractor related. A test set of flail mower blades from Flail Master for my Caroni.

Behind my mail box, I have a job box, 30X30x48. In reflective 4-inch letters It says, “PARCEL BOX”, and below that it is labeled “USPS-FEDEX-UPS”. And below that in 2-inch letters is “GATE CODE IS COMBO”

The delivery directions are leave in Parcel Box behind Mail Box. One UPS driver continually comes all the way up and leaves things on my porch.
