Hi,
This Dozer was built in the 50's I believe and is a smaller than a D2. Case bought the product line in the 60's.

I am rebuilding the undercarriage but parts are not available so I am upgrading to Deere 40 pins and bushings which means I have to bore the rails (links) to larger diameters for interference fit of pins and bushings.

Some of the rails are broken.

Does anybody know where I can buy some used rails to replace the broken rails?

Have you tried "Heavyquip"? They may have a complete set of chains that'll run on your rollers and sprockets without having to do all that machining.

Muhammad and
creekbend -- Thank you for the welcome .

pjbci, Thanks for the tip. I sent them and inquiry. However I have already bought the Deere 40 pins and bushings, built a milling machine fixture, and have about 20 hours of machining into the project -- only about 40 hrs to go. I have a lot more time than money but not much time either.

Anyway it will be interesting to see if Heavyquip has anything and for how much.

Thanks again everyone.

Hope you can find some. If not maybe you can weld up your broken links. I have seen people build up on em with welding rods so surely welding on the rails wont cause them too break.

Just a thought, but are Deere rails the same pitch?
And then there's the rubber track option.

Welding wont hurt them on most rails. I was running an old Case/Terratrac for a friend about 12 years ago. He had one that had the funny looking bucket with the linkages on the side of the bucket. The rails were wearing thin and While loading some dirt the right track broke mid linkage. He still had new pins and bushings in the rails. I just pulled them together and beveled them and welded it. It was still running a few years ago loading lime and silage. Ive also don it on an HD20 AC and a D8K with success.

Can you post a pic f your machine. Im tracking one down nearby that was the Terratrac Forklift. It was the same small machine you have with the seat and controls reversed and a forklift mast on the rear. This one was used loading logs bak in the pulpwood days here. SOme had dual forward and reversed controls to.
