A while back I posted some questions about the thermo-syphon cooling in my 78 Kubota, and now I know why I ran low on coolant - a pin hole leak in the top front of the radiator. I will have to remove the hood to see the leak, but once I get in there - is there a cement I can buy to repair the hole? I know I am not supposed to use the stop-leak goop....

Thanks in advance for your help!

You will have better luck with solder. the heat and pressure will make a " patch" hard to hold.

Have a radiator shop fix it right. It will be cheaper than a cracked head.

I had this problem recently. The radiator shop only charged $10 to solder it up.

Speaking of radiators and such, occasionally we will get a tractor in that has a lot of rust in the cooling system. There is a real heavy duty product that Prestone sells that cleans up the system like new. It is Oxcylic acid (sp?) in dry form, and the other side of the container has a neutralizer. You must follow the directions carefully as this is serious stuff, but you won't find a hint of rust when you are done. Not available at "fast food" type auto parts stores, I get mien at a local "All Pro" store.
