R4 tires for the front of my JD 2520

I have a 2010 JD 2520 (before they became smaller). I do mostly mowing work, and truf tires are mostly okay, but the front tires are wimpy and I'd like to put the industrial tires on. Two question though:

1. Am I going to have a problem with tire sizes for the four wheel drive? I think there is a slight difference, so I'm worried about keeping the back truf tires on

2. Is there a decent place to buy tires and wheels? Anyone here have an extra pair after going to turfs?

Can you put R4's on the same rims? Front turf's are 24x8.5-14, and front industrial (R4) are 23x8.5-12

Don't know what you mean by "wimpy" but do you find they are not adequate in "four wheel drive" when mowing ??

No, the front rim sizes for turfs on 2520 are bigger than for R4 and I think the rears are smaller for turfs than R4.

Yes, both front and rear wheels are different between R4 and R3 tires on the 2520.

On my 4320, I ordered it with R4 industrial bar tires in 2006. I also ordered a front set of R3 turf tires and rims, at $200 each, at that time. To me the new rear turfs were to expensive/ like $900 each~.

At about 3 years in I found a set of used R3 turf tires and rims on the internet, ebay, for about $325 from memory. The seller
told me he had been trying to sell these several times on ebay with no takers. I thought it was a steal so I left work to go get them.

I put on the new front R3's and the used rear R3's for mowing in the summer time. I gave the used front turfs to my broth-in-law and he used the rims on his hay wagons.

Two years ago I purchased new ( seconds ) rear R3 turf tires, $600 each~. I have been switching tires, summer and winter for the last 15/16 years.

When I looked for a new set of turf tires and rims at that time, they were priced well over $2000.

If I were you I would start searching the internet for a set of tires. I know I looked for at least 4/5 months until I found the above.
