so i've read a few threads about quicks and saw one in action on a smaller JD. my question is
with my tractor having a cat 2 3ph do i need to get the cat 2 quick hitch. and if i get the cat 2 quick hitch will it work on my cat 1 implements.
i have some implements that are cat 1 and some that are cat 2.
thanks for the help

Look into getting the 2, and add the bushings on your cat 1 attachments (implements).

Hmm, I still think the spacing will be different.......

Me too. Standardized pin spacing on implements is:
Cat 0 - 20"
Cat 1 - 26"
Cat 2 - 32"
Cat 3 - 38"
Cat 4 - 46"
So it stands to reason a Cat 1 QH would be wide enough to pick up lift pins that are 26" apart. It should follow then, that a Cat 2 QH should be wide enough to pick up pins that are 32" apart. I think the actual QH inside widths are 27" and 33" respectively. And I think there's one designated a Cat 1/2 that is Cat 1 width with Cat 2 hooks.

Pat's quick hitch isn't width dependent. Just put the bushings on the cat one stuff. I do believe Pat's has a cat 2 set.
