Quick Hitches Quick Hitch or Euro Hooks

/ Quick Hitch or Euro Hooks #41
the frame carrier sits flush on top therefore the bottom remains open, there is the same amount of room for the PTO as the implement coupled directly, speaking form my experience its no worse, the distance is slightly further out so a 6" pto shaft extender may be necessary.
Which means that it is really in the way for my drawbar pulled pto implements, and my close coupled 3 point that I actually have to connect the pto before I finish backing in to hook the implement. No thanks that is one reason I have no use for a quick hitch they are constantly in the way untill you get into the cat 3 units were there is enough room to get in under the dang things.

Yes, I routinely hookup hydraulic top links from my cab tractors as well as my open station tractor.
At this time one of my hydraulic top links has a "hook" coupler, one is a conventional hydraulic type.
I have no problem connecting either of them.
I have used standard 3 point connections, tractors with the extendable lower arms and conventional quick hitches, in my opinion and having used these on various tractors open station and cabed in my mind there is no doubt that the Euro hooks are much nicer then a so called "quick" hitch.

This one with the "hook" is a piece of cake. Open the window extend or retract the hydraulics drop the hook and I'm connected.

I’m about to have Brian add euro hooks to my tractor thanks to all the post from you guys. I like the idea of the rope for the top link, but don’t like having excess loose stuff hanging around the back of the tractor.

I found the cheapest and smallest fall restraint yo-yo I could find on Amazon ($80), mocked it up this evening. The retract spring will keep the slack out of the line but still allow it to cycle in and out while using the implements. I’ll need to confirm that the spring tension of the yo-yo is not so much that it tries to disengage the latch of the top link, but it feels pretty light so I think it will work ok. Wanted to share my idea with you all.
