Tires Questions before loading tires with water

Hmmmmm.. I filled the rear tires on my JD2210 and it made a LOT of difference in stability on steep terrain. They are 26x12x12 tires. Added 45 lbs to each tire.

Standard SCUT / large lawn tractor sized tires, right? I added 10 gallons WW fluid and still had room, so I added almost a gallon of water to each of my tires. Water is 8.3 lbs / gallon. WW fluid wasn't quite as heavy as water, but even at 90% that's still 7 1/2 lbs / gallon. So I added at least 83 lbs to my tires. And yes, it makes a HUGE difference in stability. I think you might be able to fit some more in yet.

I have had my rear tires filled with a water/methanol mix for the past 8 or 10 years. Works great and never a problem. The tires were filled by a local tire shop.

Don't fill tires above the rim, about 75% full. A completely full tire has no air to compress & absorb shock. That means hitting a bump can easily blow the tire off the rim.
