I've been thinking about getting a small tractor for landscaping and mowing. Brushhogging some timber will be a main use first, then maintenance of the woods. Also finish mowing an acre around the house. I don't have the slightest clue about Yanmars, but from what I've read so far here I am finding them interesting. Are there any other web sites that have information about the Yanmars? I googled on it, but got mainly the corp web site dealing with marine items. Just starting out now, would like to do something in the spring. I am located in central Missouri, any dealers around here?

Thanks for any help.

Well, Turd
If I can call you that and I only say it in the nicest way, try searching "Yanmar tractors" on Google or "graymarket tractors" and your screen will fill with sites.

Turd,
You are not in our area so I am not trying to sell you a tractor but you might check out our website. I try to keep it updated with tech tips, news, etc. You might find it a little useful. You might also try the compact tractor FAQ www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/kb13/ans_grey.htm if you are thinking about the imported models. The best source I have found is right here. Read through the old posts, etc. The Yanmar tractors are great. I think you are on the right track.

Turd,

You can find a few about 16 Miles west of Columbia. Take I-70 west of Columbia and take Exit 111. There you will find MO River Tire and Tractor. I think they have a few YM1500's, one YM2000, and one YM1300.
