On the back of my Mahindra 6520 where the top link attaches to the tractor there is a bracket with three possible holes to attach the top link. From what I have read in the manual this has something to do with the draft control when plowing ect. Can anyone tell me which hole I should for plowing or does it really make that much of a difference??? thank you.

Yes it does make a difference. It depends on the ground engaging equipment you're using and how sensitive you need for your draft. As you've read in your manual draft control allows you to keep your impliment at the same depth regardless of the terrain your crossing. Most of the time you will use the center hole but it may be necessary to change depending on your circumstance.

As the other poster noted, it depends on the draft load. The top hole for heavy loads, middle for intermediate, and bottom for light loads.

Thank you.
............what about doing something like bush hogging, does it matter which hole you use there since the draft control would be turned off??

Nope doesn't matter. I usually keep mine in the center hole.

Opt-Mist, i think my book says the opposite, Top hole is for light loads bottom is for heavy loads. I will double check.

Draft control is only useful for ground engaging implements, and even then I don't believe that every type of ground engaging implement can make use of it.

My 7520 is like this. Top hole is most sensitive while bottom hole is least sensitive. If you plowing in hard ground, you should be using the bottom hole.
