Question Kubota Engine

Can anyone shine a light on this Kubota engine to help identify the model. Here are the numbers stamped onto the injector pump boss V2903.

Nope the engine in question is clearly stamped V2903.

Engine came from a genset other than that I have no further information.

Here is a picture showing the model number stamped into my reefer engine, which you can clearly see is V2203 followed with the serial number.

You need new glasses! With my everyday 2.25 glasses it looks like a 9 but with my 3.50 glasses it is clearly V2203.

I would have to agree. If you want to make it easy to see, you might try putting piece of white paper over it and then do a rubbing with a number 2 pencil or perhaps a crayon.

When I put "Kubota V2903" into google I get a hit on this thread. When I put "Kubota V2203" I get lots of hits about V2203 engines.

I'm also with Barry, definitely V2203 then there is a 'dash' followed by something, then a possible '0'.

aczlan beat me to the 'rubbing' suggestion.
