We have a very soft spongy, fast growing tree in Va,do not know the name, but it is a nuisanse tree that is murder on chainsaw blades. You can see the sparks flly off the chain while cutting. Needless to say, the chain dulls quickly. My soil is sandy. I am thinking the tree is pulling some of the sand into the tree truck.
