2005 Ingersoll Rand Bl370b
Last Saturday I purchaced a kubota b7100 hst-d .With a brand new loader, new 42" woods boxblade with 3 rippers. A used 48" kubota shredder that needs some work. The tractor also has a new seat. The owner also put a new kubota rops with seat belts on the tractor,The Cost was $ 4,400 dollars and $ 12. dollars for the battery.[ it was dead but under warantee] The Tractor has a little under 2,000 hrs on it. I talked to the salesman who put the loader on the tractor he said you just purchased a loader with a free tractor. I know that the modle was first produced in the 1980's The seral number is [ b7100hsd11381 ] The loader will lift twice as much as my bx22. I would apreciate any information on this tractor I know very little about it. Thanks David.

I have one. They seem like a robust little machine. Used properly they will do a lot of work.

Just spent yesterday attaching the 60 in. finish mower. First time on in four years. Still not finished as the last four years seem to have bent some suspension parts, broken others. and some welding was required. Just have one lift lever to instal and try and loosen up one guage wheel that is rusted in place.

Enjoy your tractor.

If it has 4 lug nuts on the front wheels it is an early model. 6 lug nuts indicate a later model. From what I have read they produced the model for several years and may have discontinue it for a couple or 3 years and then started building it again with some slight modifications.

Mine was a 94 and was a great machine. If it had power steering I would still own it. Rated at 17HP (I think).

The only negatives I can think of are insignificant, such as it being a little harder to get on and off than later models with the flat floorboards.

Sounds like you got a very good deal and it should have lots of years of service left in it.

My dad has a B7100D with BH. That thing is a beast. I dug my shop foundation using it. He's a pic.

I also had a 1994 model and if it had PS I never would have sold it and bought my B2400. They are an incredible tractor for 16hp and 13PTO HP. I pulled a 72" blade( snow removal and light dirt work) and a 4ft rotary cutter with it and it never wimpered. Keep in mind that this model doesn't use a water pump for the cooling system( uses the thermal cycle principal) so keeping the radiator clean and free of debri is very important. That and clean fluids and that tractor will outlast all of us!!

I will bring the tractor home tomorrow. When I tested the tractor I went into a hard pile of dirt and the tractor stalled ?
Maby I had the tractor in hi instead of low gear. I am not familiar with the tractor controlls I bought a shop manual for it now I need an owners manual or an operators manual any suggestions. By the seral number that I posted does any body have any idea how old it is ? I will look at the bolt pattern tomorrow on the rims. I think the manual stated that the tractor has a mid pto. and two speeds on the rear pto. Thanks David.

Most of the loader work will be in low range. [ lever up ]

Are you familiar with the operation of HST transmissions in that the heavier the load the less pedal pressure, ie, go slower.

Running the engine at a little less than full throttle seems to work best for me irregardless the job I'm doing.

If there is a mid power takeoff chances are it is the last model made???

I usually have problems keeping traction when using the loader.

As a new purchase have filters and such been checked??

I got the tractor home today there are four lugs on the front rims I guess this makes it an earlier modle. I am going to order an owners manual for the tractor. And hopefully a full decal kit if it doesn't cost too much. I am planning on changing the fluids and filters and lubricating everything. All four of the tie rod ends seems loose and worn I will look into replacing them to tighten up the steering. Yes I am somewhat familar with hydrostatic transmissions. I own a bx22 with 300 hrs on it. I hope this b7100 is a little more robust. I will try using low on the transmission. All of the decals are faded, I do not know what all of the levers are for yet. I went to the dealer today and saw a later modle b7100 with the kubota loader on it had less that 100 hrs on it and looked brand new the dealer sold it for 10,000 in one day. [ 1993 modle I think? ] Mine is an older model and not in the same shape but it looked very similar to it. Mine had spent a fiew years out in the weather. David.

David:

The steering box on mine is of the ball and race type. It is adjustable. Little rubber plug on the right hand drivers side hides a screw which is used to tighten or loosen the box.

Had to rebuild mine at 2200 hours.

If there are specifics you are interested in I can copy from my manual and send send them. The manual printing quality is not good and the copies will be of poor quality though.

Thanks for the offer and the information on the b7100 . I purchased a shop manual/ repair manual for my tractor. I thinks it will have a parts breakdown and how to adjust the stering box if needed. David.

I found out by the seriel number that my tractor was built in 1981. I took some of the play out of the steering wheel by tighting a nut on the front of the front differiential that the steering bolted on to the pivot pin. I ordered a new drag link and two tie rod ends to tighten it up more! I was also told that max tire pressure helps with no power steering. David

I just recieved my operators manual on the B7100HST
B7100HST-D [4wd] 1257 Lbs
B7100HST-E [2wd] 1124 lbs
I am comparing the specifications the B7100 and the bx22
B7100 loader 500 Lbs Max height
bx22 loader 460 Lbs Max height

b7100 box blade 42" max weight 380 lbs
bx22 box blade 42" max weight 375 lbs

b7100 rear blade 60" max weight 350 Lbs
bx22 rear blade 60" max weight 350 Lbs

they seem pretty much identical.
The bx 3point hitch says 1210 lbs at lift points 680 lbs 24" behind the lift points.
The B7100 says Three point lift, Max load capacity 400lbs
[ Impliment weight.]
What ate the spec's on the three point hitch ?

Wer'e the b7100's the early version of the bx ?
Just curios David.
