Does anyone have any experience with pulverizers? I am grading a yard and after blading and raking I still have large dirt clods. Will a pulverizer take care of them and if not what does???? Also I noticed some have two rollers and some have one roller. I am assuming two is better then one??

I have a Woods SBT100 puliverizer and it works fantastic for busting up clods, leveling/grading. Mine only has one roller, although I can add another one, at this time can see no reason to.

I have spent many hours dragging a pulverizer around on baseball infields. It will definitely make big clods into loose dirt with no problem. It will level a little bit also. Makes a great seed bed. One roller is fine.

I have a 4' Dirt Dog pulverizer. My Bx2200 pulls that thing great in this Georgia red clay. I do landscaping and the only thing that could beat it is a Harley power rake. But they are about $6,000. pulverizer is cheaper and alot less to maintain. the Dirt Dog mimics the Gill BT models. Great piece of equipment to own.
I would only reccomend using a pulverizer on firm dry soil. When I seeded part of my lawn I had used a disk to till up the old lawn and it was a little too loose for the pulverizer to work effectively.

Dirt Dog is the supplier to Bush Hog for their ground engaging products. Your local Bush Hog dealer should have access.
