PTO Shield extention?

After installing my Imatch hitch, I hooked up my 6ft KK tiller. I didn't notice at the time, but after working the 3 point up and down a few times the inner shield came out of the outter...then when I went to lower the tiller..crunch. Now I have about 2 inches of damaged shield on both sides. What now? Anyone know if KK makes an extention?

Are you sure that the drive has enough overlap????

Well....the Imatch made about a 4 inch more reach for the shaft. I pulled them apart, and have about 3 1/2 inches of overlap....that may not be enough. I need the front part of the shaft that is about 4 to 6 inches longer.

I think you pretty much need a new driveline. Both ends should be of equal length. The old one was marginal at 7" lap. I think most are supposed to be 6" minimum. The shields are often a bit shorter than the shafts.

I bought a pto extension for my finish mower to work with my quick hitch on the tractor. The factory pto shaft was just a little short. I put mine on the mower gear box. Fit right on. You could also put it on the tractor side if you have multiple pto shafts that are too short.

If you plan on placing the extension on the mower side, be sure to check to see the diameter/style of the input shaft on the gear box. Many use the 6 spline x 1 3/8" version but yours may vary.

I think you will need a new diveline and the extension.. of the oem driveline was already onthe edge of being too short.. etc.

If the adaptor is 6" long I doubt the extension will be much over 3"
