Pto prob

I have a jd 6200 the pto works for about 20 sec and then quits . Any ideas?

Usually when it does that consistently every time, the pto speed sensor is bad. If the pto controller does not see rpm's, it thinks the clutch is slipping and it will shut it down. Te sensor is either above or below the pto shaft as shown in picture. Be sure the wires are plugged in securely.
