PTO just quit!

Mowing some tallish thin weeds. Got that done and moved to regular grass, not tall at all. After about 10 feet the mower stopped as if I had push the knob in. Any ideas where to check?

Check your fuse, reverse safety, seat safety, PTO coil for continuity, and check the switch. In not sure what switch you have but the Craftsman GT5000 switch is easy to rebuild. I posted the photos on that sight.

OP - might also want to check the pto belt... may have gotten a stick or such up in there causing belt to untrack.. also closely check condition of wiring coming from pto coil to frame for damage.
