PT-425 Owners,

I am looking at Power-Trac's PT-425 and have a couple of questions.

1.) With the 60" mower deck does the machine feel like it has plenty of power? I ask this because my yard is almost all hillside.

2.) How does the 48" rotary cutter perform? I have a couple acres of field that is about waist high grass with some brush mixed in and wonder if the rotary cutter could handle it?

Thanks to all who reply

I've only used the 60" mower on flat ground and there, it is plenty powerful enough. However, there have been a few posts here by some that suggest they could use more power on hills. Maybe they will respond.

I've only used the 48" brush cutter for two hours and it worked well. Hopfully in the next few weeks I'll take it out again and make a video or two of it in operation.

this subject has been discussed several time this year. a search of mowers , blades and mowing techniques will be a very good start.

mowing down high grass in one passage is not recommended unless you get a roughcut mower.

good luck
