I just got the tractor last night 9/24 .. too late to do anything. This morning we went out to move the coop with the new tractor, we did that and while getting the coop set up the tractor dies. No fuel in the bowl it slowly fills back up, we limp it to the garage and pull the fuel line off and no fuel comes out, I blow in the line fuel starts pouring out , I think all is fine, this happens 3 more times so I drain all the fuel look in the tank and see nothing I figure what ever it was pluging the line came out so I put the fuel back in and it plugs back up before I even start it, So I pull the line off at the tank and stick a all in the hole and fuel will pour out as long as the all is in there. I call the dealer and he says the nipple I put the all in will not come out of the tank with out damaging the tank so I put a suction pump on the nipple and the fuel starts flowing, I empty the suction pump and out comes I don't know what but it looked like a cotton ball. I ran it for a few hourswith no problems. I think it only has 4.5 hr on it now .... The dealer said thanks and he will take care of me for saving him all the trouble of picking it up and fixing it .. anybody else have any problems like this?
I will play more tomorrow, It does seem to work real well otherwise ..Bill

No, I have not had that problem, mine problem stems from using my tractor a lot and having to fill it up every two weeks or so.

I had a similar problem when I first got my tractor. Only it wasn't as definite as yours. On my rig, it would just starve for fuel when the tank got low. It turned out to be some fibrous junk stuck in the tank outlet, partly blocking the flow. It was like a small amount of yarn. It was hard to see because the tank has a plate that covers the little well at the bottom. Once I got that stuff out, everything has been fine.

BTW, my L5450 will go two weeks on a tank just like RaT's L3830....... unless I start it up and use it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thats about the same stuff I got out of my tank.. Yes the 4 cyl. do use more fuel than the 3 cyl. .. I worked about 4hr and went thru about 3/8 of a tank .. I bet the 54 is even worse ..What style is the 5450 I never seen one ....Bill

The L5450 was sold thru the mid '90s. It's rugged. This pic shows my rig with the backhoe mounted. With filled tires it's up a little over 9,000 lb. (about 2100 of it is the hoe) More details in this review and more pics and info in this thread about some pto changes I made.

k4330, that 5 cylinder DI is quite possibly easier on fuel then your 4 cylinder IDI. It's probably the best diesel Kubota has made. My 3 cylinder International loves to use the diesel. My 3 cylinder Kubota is quickly becoming a favorite. It's smooth and quiet as well as being pretty easy on the fuel. My guess is about 1 gallon per .8 hours or about 8 hours on 10 gallons. Frankly, I have not been very careful about checking even though the new intellipanel makes it soooo easy. Your 4330 is a superb tractor, my second choice.
