I can't get my 4310 with the e-power reverser to go into any gear. This happened after I washed the machine.I opened the fuse box and sprayed some water to get rid of some lime dust.

The day before while mowing the code reader displayed either 4 dots, 1 dot, then a dash, or, one dash,4 dots, then 1 dot.

Help!!!

Pull your manual and see if any of the fuses control the e-Hydro. If so, it may have shorted out or blown.

Hmm... something to do with electricity, no doubt. I was under the impression that error codes were numbered.

However, I've labored under alot of different impressions over the years.... and some were very wrong!

That said, I'd be on the phone talkin' with my local JD shop foreman or one of of the floor mechanics.

One of the very best investments that I made after getting a tractor was to get my hands on the OEM JD Technical Reference Manual for my particular tractor. It's got all the good stuff; wiring diagrams, hydraulic circuit diagrams!! I also picked up the Technical Repair Manual for the drivetrain, engine, etc.

Spent some quality time on Ebay... drove my wife crazy --- Oh well, I simply explain that it's necessary to keep HER horses happy!!

Let us know how things turn out ---

Fault code 41 is the seat switch open. Try checking the seat switch connector and circuit.

Help me a little here... if you have an "open" seat shut-off error code while mowing --- how can you keep mowing?

Sometimes I'm simple enough that I simply don't "get it"...

Thanks.

I can't offer any advice for fixing your tractor, but maybe next time use an air hose instead of a water hose on your electrical system. JC

The fuses are in a box for a reason, so they won't get wet.....

Problem solved. I let the tractor sit for 24 hours, hopped on, fired her up,and drove Christina to the barn.Something that got water on or, in it must have dried off, and away we went.

Thanks guys.
