Price Check Price for loading tires

A local NH dealer quoted me $700 to pick up tractor at dock, transport 10 miles, fill rears with RimGuard (about 90 gallons total) and return to ferry dock. I declined although I do prefer RimGuard and had it on my first tractor.

I will be going the windshield washer route and will do it myself. total cost of materials will be about $150-175 for all 4 tires.

That price is about right to do rimguard. It's spendy stuff.

Around here CaCl2 is about 0.85 a gal if you bring the tractor to them and 1.25 a gal if they send a truck out to you. Tube extra.

I did the WWF myself last fall on a tractor. It's a PIA to do. Next time, will probably just have a truck come out with CaCl2. Of course, that tractor I didn't want the extra weight of CaCl2, so was stuck with WWF and no one does that around here.

I did RimGuard on my TN75D. Was about $400 in 2001, 16.9x30's. I don't think abody but amateurs does WWF.

I called around and found a tire shack that will do citrus byproduct for 2.75/gal if I roll the wheels into his shop.

Talked to the dealer again too just to confirm his pricing, yep, 4 to 500. Needless to say, I said no thanks.

I just got a price here in western PA of $2.75 / gallon for Rimguard, plus the hourly labor rate for the fill-up.

How many gallons does your tire take? My 16.9x30's I bekieve take a little over 70 gallons each. 140 times 2.75 equals $385 plus $100 or so to fill and I think 4 to 5 hundred is right in line.

About $9.00 for the fitting from Tractor supply to fill tires with water and about 2 to 3 gals antifreeze per tire would only cost you about $60 or $70 (total) and a little bit of time.....

Wow.....Sure glad I'm willing and able to do my own. 50lb bag of cal/chlor "chips" $20ea, Pump was $40, 2 sections of garden hose, $25, Adapter $12, Couple free 55 gal plastic barrels. $500 would fill every tire I own (7 tractors) and buy me a good lunch to boot.
