Price for Cat D4?

I have the opportunity to buy a 40's Cat D4 loader. The tractor has been sitting behind my house for a year now, I had contracted with a friend to clear a few acres of trees. The jobs no where near done, my friend has not had the time to finish the job. He has offered to sell me the tractor and I am considering buying it. How much is this machine worth? It is in pretty good mechanical condition and runs well. I have 10 acres of property that I could do a lot with with this or a similar machine. HarryW
