Price check on 4105

This is a paste from another thread, but I wanted to get a sanity check from the JD experts...does this sound reasonable to you?

JD ... quotes me 19.1k for the tractor, 4.5k for the loader, 2.5k for a rotary cutter (holy cow:confused2: ) and $575 for a box blade, making the whole deal ~ 27.1 k. He did say he'd load the rear tires for free, though

Not bad. Loader seems pricey, though. What rotary cutter are you looking at. There is big differences between models in terms of price. $575 for the box blade sounds almost too cheap. I'd be looking for a heavier duty model and a little bigger price tag. It will work better for ballast as well.

Question on negotiation - if all the, say, Deere dealers are part of an umbrella group across the region (I guess the different locations are franchisees or something), would it pay to shop around, or will they be consistent on price?

I have had John Deere dealers that sell Bush Hog recommend The Bush Hog brand over Deere because of price. MY 296 cutter was about $800 cheaper than a MX6.

I got a quote of ~$24,500 last year for that tractor (power beyond, ssqa for loader, 2 rear remotes) and a 6" frontier cutter. That price was after the 7% sales tax was added.

I got 2 quotes from dealers near me with the same name, different towns. There was $1000 dollars difference between them. So I say it don't hurt to shop around a little.

I've got a 4105 with less than 10hrs I'd sell for $23000

I bought a used 2008 with about 130 hours, great condition for $17,100. Came with a beat up 5-foot cutter and the 300cx loader.

@rasimmo: are those factory-installed remotes? I've heard it's "impossible" to get remotes for the 4105

Mine was new in November. here is what I paid...
JD4105 Tractor ....... $ 17,600.00
300CX Loader ............ $4,258.00
These were the net prices (which I actually paid) -- discount was almost 15%
