Preview Pop Up

No, you can not.

In this thread alone, 3 like it, 2 do not. Seems a simple solution for those that don't like it to simply not hover their mouse where these previews appear.

When I'm reading and scrolling with my scroll wheel, that's when the popups get in the way, guess I'll just have to park the pointer off to the side somewhere.

When I put my cursor over the title of a thread, or a user name, or any underlined topic, there is an annoying, to me, pop up with a short preview, or description of the content.

This must be an Internet Explorer browser 'feature' -- for it doesn't do it with Mozilla -- except for the title of an image (those popup). Either way, I think that is a browser issue, not a forum issue.

Just for the record: While we do listen to user input a LOT on TBN, we don't have votes for site features where "majority rules." So don't get into a contest about who can drum up more support on each side.

Our focus has, and continues to be, keeping TBN running fast, free, and as useful as possible. Tooltip Popups have been part of computers for a long time. While you can turn off some of them, you can't all. There is no easy-fix for us to enable an option for people to have or not have the tooltips. So it's not something we'd seriously look at changing.
