My 1 year old new tractor came with one rear remote and I added another for Top N Tilt. After a year I have installed the TNT and find that the one remote with Float function is sticking in float. It would not pop out unless I took the shield off the valve and popped it up with a wrench.
I’ve read where these SCV’s with float detent are somewhat prone to this. Also, that the spring and balls in the lower end of the valve that provide the detent are prone to getting rusted or the factor grease gets stiff with little use and needs cleaning. I did readjust the lever/linkage and was able to get it to pop out, but had to use way more force than needed.
Has anyone ever opened up the lower cover on this valve and cleaned the area discussed?

Thanks!

Spoke with dealer and other users on FB page and they all do this. Dealer said they do require a bit of force to ‘pop’ them out. Some tractors have longer handles, which lessens the force required. As tractors sit on at a delership, for some time maybe, I”m still going to look at removing the lower cap and possibly shoot some lithium grease up in the area of the spring/balls.
