LOL...those tug-of-war tests are fun! I know first hand the RTV will smoke a JD Gator and beat the Kawasaki Mule 3010. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ducati,

Your following me around to various forms and making harassing comments (your actions) is neither beneficial and is certainly something that will no longer be tolerated by me or any one that I may invite, that chooses to join this forum of their own free will!

I would hope that you can see fit to stop the personal stalking / harassment's and I feel confident that management would concur, should that be necessary!!

Dean,
I always told you our paths would cross again, apparently your forgot the fact you had the problems on 3 sites, not me.
I have been a member on all 3 sites considerably longer than you and still will be long after you self implode, so don’t flatter yourself and twist it like I'm looking for you. You have harassed others to no end on other sites, so reap what you sow. You seem to always try to have others fight your battles,
but thats what insignificant people do... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Finished with this subject ....back to our regular scheduled programming /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Pssst. ducati, I was wanting this to be a fun thread and to hopefully find a way to improve my RTV. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I don't know the issues with dean and you, and don't want to know. But, please don't get my thread shut down. I seriously do want to know how to get more power out of my RTV. And, yesterday I did order a lift kit from Essex. I'll be able to report on that soon.

Okay, speaking of hostility. I got the lift kit in today for my RTV. What's with the front struts on these things!? Two hours on one strut and no luck so far... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Well, it took about 2 hours by my self to install the Essex 2" lift kit for the RTV. It seems pretty well made and actually gave me about 1 5/8" lift in the front and about 1 1/4" lift in the back. I'll have a chance to drive it tomorrow and report on any change in the driving and handling characteristics. So far, I'm pleased with the look of it and "relative" ease of installation.

When you have a chance, could you please measure and post the new minimum ground clearance? It would be nice to know what is really accomplished .... I'm getting pretty pessimistic about manufacturers claims.
I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll be able to find time to get to my local dealer and try out an RTV.

Wingnut, I just measured this morning what my new minimum ground clearances are. In the front, there is 10 1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the skid plate. In the rear, there is exactly 9" of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the skid plate under the transmission.

I didn't measure before installing the lift kit. I wonder what those measurements are stock?
