Yep, there's a difference. I have the same tires/rims and my fenders are only slightly higher than the tire itself. I need to get the lift kit as well. I was riding through the woods with a 200# passenger and when coming down the hills I noticed a little rubbing in the front.

I'm a new owner of a camo RTV900 and was checking out all the usefull info on this site. After reading over this thread, I was still left wondering if there is any engine upgrades for them? Not saying I'm having any problem with mine, but I'd like to know if its possible? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

So far, I haven't seen anything posted. I think many of us are waiting on 2 things.
1. - Get used to the machine as it came. Feathering the pedal back for more power, climbing hill techniques...
2. - Get out of the warrantee period.

Quick question, Could you explain how "feathering the pedal back" to get more power actually is accomplished? I have read about the assist motor, but how do you activate it. Does this work in reverse?

When climbing a hill or otherwise putting a load on the RTV it is best not to "mash" the pedal to the floor. When it starts to bog down, let off the pedal to approx. 50% (you'll feel it). The secondary pump (assist motor) kicks in and in doing so, gives more power but at the cost of speed.
To my knowledge it works in reverse as well.

Thanks BC, I was out early and trying to teach myself to do this. It did work going up a good hill in the subdivision, It was starting to loose speed so i cut back and think I actually felt it kick in. I'll know the next time I need more power!!!!
