I hope to be home in a week or so. I'll try 2wd some to see how it goes. I'd still like to have more power.

Did you ever get gauges that quit fogging up? I've had several sets of gauges, and they still fog over. Warranty ends in a couple of weeks. I'm rather disappointed that Kubota can't manage to get gauges that don't fog over. I just can't imagine that it would be that hard to get gauges that don't fog over! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Dargo,
I replaced my gauges with a nov 04 date on the back and they have yet to fog!! Fair to say that I haven't kept track of the humidity however!
Hope this helps you!

Dargo,

My replacement gauges fog more than the originals.
I let the dealer know but we haven't done anything about it. We're currently working on why mine won't turn over when the temp is approx. 20 degrees or less. I replaced the starter last night. I tried it this morning and it did turn over. So far, it looks like this may be the fix.

I hope the new starter works for you.

I went to a local Kubota Dealer last weekend who had 11 in stock and most had fogged gauges. Based on the S/N's some were old and some were newer. I asked the dealer if the problem had been fixed. He said that he did not know there was any problem. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Good luck on that fixing your starting problem. At least I can use mine while the gauges are fogged over. Also, my driveline seems to be really tight still with no rattles or broken U joints. Hopefully all is well for you after your starter is replaced.

Oh well, first year bugs; that'll happen. Hopefully I don't get dropped on my head right after mine goes out of warranty. I'm afraid mine may be out of warranty by the time I get back from my latest strings of business trips. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Good Luck!

Dargo,

Don't forget to try the RTV verses the Rhino test! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did the Rhino vs RTV pull off last night. I'll do it again when I have two other people to drive while I take a pic. I used my snatch strap to the rear hitch on each, took out the slack, and had a good ole tug of war. The RTV driver kept qutting on me as he was getting pelted in the back of the head with dirt clods from the Rhino! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll have to have the RTV driver wear a helmet and try again this next weekend. The results were inconclusive. The RTV started to win, but then the Rhino bit in hard and started flinging small bricks of mud, I don't really know if the Rhino started to hold it's own at that point or if that is when my son just ducked down and got off of the throttle. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Both machines are running on Bighorn Radials, but the ones on the Rhino are 27" and wider than the 25" Bighorns on the RTV. I decided to not try the tug of war on pavement as requested by the RTV driver! I'll try again this weekend if I can and get pics. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

By the description you provided, it sounds like you were the Rhino driver.

If frozen bricks of mud were flying at me, I might drive differently as well (or quit driving and duck for cover).

Give 'er a try on pavement.

BTW Dargo, that Rhino isn't on your signature line yet.
