I have a Poulan Pro mower. The blade will engage on initial startup, but after running for about 2 minutes it disengages, and will not engage again.

The knob (for engaging the blade) is working, because while it is pulled out (to engage), I cannot go in reverse or get off the mower.

Nothing happens on the deck though. Nothing spins...I've cleaned out all the connections, but so far nothing has worked. Hope someone cal help. Thanks!

Sounds like the blade clutch is the culprit. Either the coil for the magnet has a heat sensitive short that develops after you start using it or the adjustment of the clutch is off. Try adjusting the clutch tension springs on the electric clutch. The clearance between the clutch plates when the clutch is disengaged should be just enough so that there is no dragging - maybe .020". With the tractor off, but the key in the run position, you should hear a definite "clunk" when you pull the switch for the deck clutch.

Thanks for the feedback. How do I adjust the clutch tension springs?

If the clutch is like most that I have seen, you will find it on the bottom shaft of the engine. It is triangular in shape with a nut at each corner of the triangle and a compression spring working against the nut. To close the gap in the clutch, tighten each of the nuts and use a feeler guage to set the clearance between the plates of the clutch (all with the clutch not engaged -- you are setting the clutch close enough to be sucked in with the magnet, when you pull the engagement button but free to spin on the bearing when you turn the mower off).
