As of6-28 I'm no longer recieving email notifications. I got on just now at about 1pm and have found dozens of threads with replies, and no notifications in my inbox. Notifications were working as of this am.

I have never know vB to have issues with Firefox, but that is exactly what I am experiencing.
Thinking it is perhaps my machine getting confused, or a case of OS rot, I unistalled/reinstalled the latest Firefox and tried again.
I have been using IE lately, including this post, but when I try to login with Firefox, it just flatly ignores me. Login, screen refreshes, not logged in.
Now, I have not read the vast posts in this forum, or even this thread, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else is having similar issues?

Immediately after the migration, the only way I could use Firefix was to request a new password, use the forum and when my login expired, request another.
It all works great with IE...

Observation re double posts:

After clicking Submit, the message posts long before any acknowlegement is returned. This may be the reason for some recent double posts.

(Old posts that now show double is an unrelated issue).

I encountered this a couple of times recently, and again just now.

I posted, saw no action, hit the stop button after several seconds (Firefox) then Preview, (still seeing the edit box) and started a minor change in punctuation. Then noticed my intended post at the top of the recent posts stack. In previous instances I didn't hit stop, just Preview a few seconds after Submit. Then later found I had made double posts. Perhaps the Edit screen could use a Be Patient note.

No Firefox problem here. (unless the double post issue I just described is unique to Firefox).

Try killing all TBN cookies and if relevant,the TBN password saved in Firefox.

All I needed with Firefox was a cookie purge and one new login - I've stayed logged in since, despite the pc being turned off several times since that single login. Everything works as intended.

Wierd.
I not only uninstalled Firefox, but deleted the folder it resided in, the crap in my profile, and ran regclean. Indeed it was entirely unexisted.
And then reinstalled.

Is there any way to edit our posts with the new software? I can't seem to find anyway to go back and make a correction to something I've posted. There is no EDIT button. I've tried both Firefox and IE6 and all three levels of posting.

The EDIT button is in the bottom right section of your post. However, as before, it is only active for a certain number of hours. It used to be 12, but now that window is smaller, probably around 6 hours.

Strange. To test this within five minutes of your post, I went back to the Yanmar post I made five minutes ago and hit Edit, then Advanced Edit, and made a minor change. No problems noticed.

Firefox 1.5.0.4 (latest release).

Edit fifty minutes later - lets see if this works.

I can't.. but I do see the button. When i clck it.. there is no 'click' soud most of the other buttons make.. nor does the sd/rd indicators flash as if data is being transfered.. so my guess is an html error of some sort..

Here's an upate to the editing problem.

I've found if i post a message, then hit the edit button.. nothing will happen. however I can 'jump' back to the forum, then select that thread again, and when my post comes up, I can then hit the edit button.. and it works ok.

Also, are there plans to clear the duplicate PM's?

I am getting runtime errors in IE only on these message boards.

I have cleared cache and cookies, and have restarted IE.

No other boards or sites are problematic for me.
My script debugger will also lock, so I cannot see what the object or control may be......
