Post hole digger adapter pin

My phd has an adapter sleeve which fits the augers that I have (2" round). Recently I lost the sleeve, until I found it down inside the center of the auger...

I believe the sleeve is held on by a spring pin. I found something like one by the auger, but it's not obviously springy and also was pretty short - should this be a spring pin?

Not sure what I am looking at from your photo (too close up) but if that is the sleeve where the auger attaches to the PHD gear box, then it just requires a shear bolt to connect it. Make sure it is a tight fit (correct bolt size). Not sure what the little sleeve that you are holding goes to.

Many thanks - this is a 500 unit and that's supposed to be #12 - Roll pin 1/4" x 2", though I only have 1/2 left apparently

Turns out the parts guide is wrong; it needed a 5/16" roll pin, 3/4" long. All set now.
