possible problem

i was wondering why my tractor seems a little slower compared to before in the same gears. in 1high i could fly mowing my lawn and now it more like 8 low gear. also snowblowing you can smell a clutch odour. it's a kubota l3000, i'm thinking the secondary clutch needs adjusting. anyone think it could be something else. thanks

Could be the brakes are not releasing. Smell is the same as a hot clutch. Try coasting it on a smooth surface. It ought to roll pretty smoothly.
