Excellent information.

So let's assume you want to add 6" of topsoil to 3/4 acre?

43,560 sq ft in an acre. 6" equals 1/2 ft. 43,560 divided by 2 = 21,780 cu ft. 21,780 cu ft divided by 27 = 806 cu yds. 806 cu yds divided by 15 = 54. You need 54 large dump truck loads of dirt moved.

If you had the means to pull a scraper the size of mine it would require 147 trips.

That is doable. Now I need to find a scraper like that! lol I'm in no hurry since this is our getaway and also where the tractor will be kept 1/2 the time so it's fun work to get away from the normal business stuff I do. I definitely don't want to hire the excavator and dump truck combo again though. That is EXPENSIVE. Dump truck is only about $600 a day but the Excavator and operator is far higher and they'd get maybe 25 loads a day moved. I'd spend as much as it would cost to buy my own brand new dump trailer (or used scraper if I can find one)

I know this design as a "Clam Shell" scraper. That's the same as mine.
