I've noticed recently that there are popups appearing in the bottom right corner of articles. I find these quite annoying. I can close the current one but new ones appear. Anyone know how to get rid of them?

Firefox is my browser and I use Adblock which is a free download add-on. Adblock works with most all browsers.

I should have mentioned that the popups are from TBN!

It must have something to do with your browser or computer because I don't get them. Try Adblock if you don't already have it.

I normally Do NOT get ads but I get those ads because I don't save cookies and they are targeted toward members that are not login (or mainly towards non-members). Personally, I would leave TBN if this is their way to force people to register.

Thank you.

I use Firefox with Adblocker & get that popup.
I logged in and it went away.

These popups are making this site not enjoyable for me anymore.
I mostly read / rarely post
Every screen change get a new one that blocks out text.
Might sound petty but I come to this site maybe 1/3 of what I used to over these popups.
I spend more time elsewhere that do not inundate me every few seconds with popup videos.

Sorry TBN even with firefox/blockers on/etc.... I think I am moving on to reading other stuff.
Web is full of a lot of good stuff that is not so annoying.

Maybe it's just me, but once I log in, the popups disappear. Are you logged in and still seeing the popups?

Yes, logging in gets rid of them but I come & go many times a day and logging in everytime gets old fast.

I have just left rather then log in again.

And yes, I have checked the keep me logged in thing but it still kicks me off if I'm gone very long or switch browsers.

Good news at least for me. The popups stopped the next day!

I stay logged in 100% of the time. If I need to do a computer reboot once in a while I will have to login. But I often stay logged in for days/weeks at a time

What is a popup? :)

Log out, and the little popup ad will appear in the lower right corner of your screen.

Understand. I was kidding about the popup thing. I haven't seen a popup on TBN now for years as I run an adblocker and stay logged in.

I don't save any cookies, and this is what happens. You have to re-login each time if you don't save cookies.

I do save my login and passwords (God knows, I would never remember them) so I don't have to type everything, I just hit the first letter and the rest pops-up.

We're testing the popup that promotes other pages on the site, only for logged-out users. There are numerous ads that appear when you're logged out but not logged in. In fact it's about 50% fewer ads when logged in than logged out.

We also have a completely ad-free app that we intend to keep ad free into the future so at the end of the day the logged out users will see more ads as a result of us prioritizing the registered user experience.

As for whether it will stay or not... early result says probably not but expect it'll run for another couple of weeks.

Obviously we're always balancing user experience versus ads and being completely free means the site will have ads. I continue to use the site daily on the app and logged in so I'm always going to avoid ads that completely ruin the experience.
