pool demo game plan?

I have seen a very good use for old pool. Bust up bottom and fill but leave the side where pump and filter are open. build water fall/fish pond using existing plumbing and electrical. You now have a grass "island" with pond and water fall in the middle of your concrete patio. build a foot bridge, step stone path,
lighting,or other options and you have a very relaxing place to hide out in your own back yard.

They fill em in around here all the time. People get tired of paying for the water. Most just make holes in the bottom and fill it with dirt and what ever and leave the decking. You can grass the center or make a flower island. You might consider leaving the decking and making the center in to a large sand box play area for the child.

Hazmat, I'm sorry but its Monday and I can't resist. Drain the pool and charge admission to all the little skateboard punks in the neighborhood, when you've collected enough on admissions replaster it and buy the enclosure cover. LOL

Great idea, but alas here in the "civilized" north country we send our hard earned money to the tax man who then builds skate parks for the kiddies & doesn't charge them admission... There are a couple nearby. Actually I think it is good that we offer outdoor recreation for the youngsters - too many of them are addicted to TV & video games...
