I was watching TV, this was the start of a movie with a tractor plowing a field.
There was something odd about it but it took me a few seconds to realize what
it was. The plow furrow was on the wrong side of the tractor. On every tractor
I've had the furrow always ran on the right, the plow throws the dirt to the right.
This was just the opposite, the furrow was on the left and the dirt was thrown to
the left...

I'm wondering if this is a English or European thing as I've not seen it in the US...

Could be a two way plow. Here is a link showing a picture of one. Plow

There is thousand acres of sod land all around my area and they have a few reversing three furrow plows (six furrows, three up while other three are down) so when you've plowed for a half mile in one direction the plow flips and you start back in the other direction on the same furrow.

Urban myth. Maybe they were south of the Equator? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I don't recall what brand, but I've seen parts catalogs listing "left -hand plow" parts. There were also parts listed for the same brand for a "two-way plow" .

Here is a picture of a rollover plow. It looks like they must have unloaded it from the truck and flipped it over with the three point upside down.

It definitely was not a two way plow, I've seen them before. This had three
or four bottoms behind a blue tractor but a lot lighter color they Ford blue.
Talking with a bud at the coffee shop, he said it maybe English as they
drive on the opposite side of the road, they may also plow that way too...

Can't believe the weather outside. Mid January, 50 degree's with only a
trace of snow in an along the woods...

Sometimes the films director will "flip" the film so the left and right are reversed. He might think it "looks better" that way. Was there any writing on the tractor. Was the writing reversed?

I agree with Gary. I have seen movie trailers with things going from one side of the screen to the other and then in the movie it goes completely backwards but, I know it was the same scene.

Unfortunately it was a back view of the tractor moving away from the camera so
there wasn't any tractor name or other lettering. But you maybe right about them
flipping the film. Many years ago we sent in film for developing and they did the
whole role backwards...The people shots were not to unusual but when it came to
scenery or buildings in the picture, it was weird to look at...
