I recently got a GoPro video camera for my daughter to wear in her equestrian eventing an in my car at the track. This weekend I played around with it while prepping my corn plot. Nothing exiting but maybe entertaining for really bored tractor geeks like me.

The second link is a video of my daughter's most recent cross country ride.

intresting.... the plow cam that is

I can see a MARKED diffrence in the way that no name turn plow flips dirt vs my old Dearborn.

I guess there is something to be said about plow shape and efficiency.

FYI my vid although not as good camera angles. And i dont claim to have mine set up perfect, you can see a slight depression between the 2 sets of rows were my overlap isnt quite right

Pretty impressive video quality. Much better than the backup camera on my wife's Prius. Thanks for posting.

Yea, since the technology is decades old and patents probably long expired, I don't understand why new plows aren't simply exact copies of old proven designs.

Take the little 12" plow I have for my BX for example. No longer in production and was a proprietary design, which means no parts availability.

This no-name plow that I have is patterned after some other previous popular brand because you can find parts for it, at least the ground engaging parts.

It always takes me a while to configure it but once I get it all lined up right it works pretty well. And since it was free I don't complain. (Found it in my brother-in-law's scrap metal pile.)

Cool video. At about :45 seconds, in the shot with the camera mounted in front of the back share, it looks like the front plow bottom moves as it's being lowered. Might check for some loose hardware. Thanks for posting. Mark.

The metal bar which the share is attached to is held in place by one bolt with a shear bolt behind it so if you lower the plow while not moving it will pivot upward. Once it bites it stays tight against the shear bolt.
