Just something I made...converted rear mount PTO Driven to FEL / quick attach/ Hydraulic driven Snowblower.... used/ converted a well pressure tank to a Hydraulic / rear mounted tank

my poor snowblower has had a hard life. i just have too many dam* rocks at my place. they occasionally find their way into the blower. for the past 10 years its been getting worse and worse. finally this year it ate thru the metal in a few spots. all the steal is very thick on this blower EXCEPT for the fan shroud.

i cut some 8ga stock, put it thru the roller and relined the shroud. this should last a long time as it's nearly 2x as thick. also, the blades are closer, but not touching the new liner, so it should be more efficient. not sure why there was such a large gap. then again...i guess im glad there was so i could fit the liner in.

i just stitch welded it inplace just encase i ever have to replace it again. worse part was pulling the impeller fan. i thought i had a complete set of sockets and impact sockets. but noooooo, this one was a 1-7/16" castle nut. never even knew someone made a 1-7/16 nut. took some looking, but they were able to dust off one at Napa in town. the salesman was surprised that they had it.

I can relate. I just replace the lower seal on my Befco 7' mower gearbox and found a giant 1-5/8" nut holding the lower pulley on. Of all places, Lowes had 3/4 sockets up to 2" and a 3/4 drive to 1/2" adapter.

about how much have u got into conversion? just hyd pumps, lines, gears etc not including rear blower

Saw this today just surfing the web . I have no need for it . Just posting it incase some of you folks up north havent seen one . At alittle under 15K even with the bucks , I think myself I would " pass on it " even if I needed a snow weapon . Maybe someone here actually owns one and cares to share there thoughts on it . Also carries salt treatment .

Here is my latest machine, not finished yet but hopefully will be soon. The blower frame is now all finished and painted - waiting on a couple of pto yokes to finish the driveline up then have to rebuild the blower gearbox and replace the cutting edge. Along with some orange paint of course!

M6040 with 84” blower in the front, hard plumbed to the back to 3 point PTO driven pump.
I’m in NH. Snowfall is all over the spectrum but usually several storms 1-2’ and I’ve got 1200’ of driveway to clear.

I’m in Weare. It’s north of Manchester and west of Concord. We moved there about 9 years ago from a little further south in NH and are very happy here. The property is 40 acres with a 4 acre pond.

Here's my weapon against the snow...just wait a day or so and it all melts away! I grew up in the Nort' and feel your pain, but I no longer wish to share in it. Good luck this winter!
