You are correct! Jerry has a 1440. I have never had an implement pop off of the lift arms. I don't have the stabilizer bar, and haven't had that problem. The washers and hitch pins have never failed on me.

The bar is handy for holding the arms for sure, but it must usually be removed when you use a PTO shaft as it interferes. I still paid the extra 20 and got it cause it keeps the arms positioned and fairly still.

Pat's ... wished I'd have thought of it first! :)

once again, how many of you happy campers had to get a longer upper link or extend their pto drive shaft? (esp those with 1540 or 1533).

Don't know about "Pat's" I bought the elcheapo from HF. It works fine on my 1020 but I did have to get a longer top link.
