Thanks for that. I didn't know they had different versions. Would anyone happen to know how many versions there are and what to look out for?I think I remember that Pat posted the one's at Agri-Supply are a different version. They are made different.
PATG said:Agri-Supply sells another version of Pat's Easy Change. They are mine. I make them. They do have a different look than the gray ones. We came up a design that takes less machine time to try and lower the price. That was what I kept hearing on this board and several others. We worked on this for a long time and had them certified as to weight capacity. Several neighbors have been using them for a year now and have not had any problems with them. Agri-Supply has priced them to sell when you consider that they have the sta-bar included.
Here is Pat's description of them
Thanks for that. I wonder how much real difference there is between the two. Which ones do you have?
They sure look the same, and considering it includes the stabilizer bar, it's a good deal.
You were a big help. I'm glad I caught your message before I placed the order.I have the original ones, the gray colored ones. I've had them for 4-5 years and have never taken them off yet.

Looks like the ones on this site are the better ones too. Do you use the stabilizer bar?Just remember, ordering through TBN helps support this free forum.

Thanks Inspector507!I have used the stabilizer bar a few times. Usually it seems that the arms are just sort of spaced just right. I'll bet I'd have to go hunt for it right now, I haven't used it in so long.
Looks like the price just went up at Northern from $159. Muhammad, have you considered advertising the stabilizer bar on this site?I was not aware that Northern Tool was selling the "original" Pat's Easy Change for $159... on their website it's $179.99 plus shipping, not including the stabilizer bar.
As others have mentioned, the $159 model isn't the same as the one we sell. I suppose we could sell the cheaper version just to show people that there is a difference.
We only sell the "original" Pat's Easy Change. It seems that some folks might be buying the cheaper version elsewhere and don't understand the difference.

I must have missed it when I was looking. Your idea sounds like a good one.We offer it with the Category 1 or 2 Pat's Easy Change System for an additional $20...
Perhaps we should offer it as a standalone item?
Hi Guys,
Been Lurking here for quite awhile. I'm really interested in getting Pat's system. But I'm a little concerned, Some of the earlier posts stated after installing that guys were having trobule with attaching their PTO shafts due to the added length of Pat's hitch.
I'm pretty new to all this so, Is this really a problem or do the PTO Shafts have enough play to compensate for the extra 3 inches.
I'd be installing these on a Kubota B7800
I hoping this would make switching my Bushhog and other attachments easier but don't want to create another problem by solving one. I read thru the entire post and didn't see where anyone solved the issue other than to spend even more money getting an extension for their shaft, which to me dosen't seem like it solves the problem.
Thanks,
TJB
