Password

I tried to respond to a classified ad and I could not get in because of a password issue. I requested a password and was able to get back into the board but still cannot respond to the classified ad. I tried to change my password in my profile but nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

I think he probably meant bump, which is often used to get a thread without an answer back up to the top of folk's browsers.

I think the answer is if I remember right just because you have an ID and password for the forum that does not allow you into the classifieds without registering. You can there use your forums ID and password if it is not taken already or you can create a different one.

Did the moderators not see this question or did they respond via PM? This is the feedback forum where most problems with the site are discussed. Moderators did you help the original poster or has he been left hanging?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif The original post is a month old with no replies other than LB making an attempt to get the post up again.

It seems to me the classified part is a different animal than the regular forum. I registered and got a password that was sent to me via email. I haven't figured out how to change the one that was given to me. You have to log on separately to use classified. Using the same password as the regular forum would not work. It is not as user friendly in my opinion. Is this the same experience the rest or you have had? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes, you have to register separetely from the regular forum, but I used my same user name and password when I registered.

I wouldn't say it's less user friendly, just slightly less convenient. It does the job, and better than I could do for sure.
