parking paul

Has anyone experienced trouble getting the're parking paul to release in their transmission. I have a 5300 jd, and have had trouble with it from the first week. The dealership worked on it under warauntee and the next time it caused close to 6000 in repairs to the tranny. Just got a recall on it after 5 yrs of ownership to put a "fix"on it. I have the syncro trans with the forward reverser on the dash.

rd, I have no clue on your problem but...

I thought you were referring to a mis-guide3d s1120 in your parking paul problem. Of course, s1120 is our buddy Paul with the new house under construction. Your problem actually lies with a pawl. Probably a metal piece that engages another metal piece, each having interlocking teeth of some sort. Your pawl is no doubt a much more offending item than our Paul.
