Recently there have been some reports of pages and threads "hanging" before loading. If you experience a page not loading, please post the URL that you clicked, in this thread. To get the URL of the link, simply right click and select "copy url" or "copy hyperlink" ...

Hopefully that will help us track downn the problem. Thanks.

It's any and all links releated to the forum and more so for any that are pulling from the data base. It's like the browser gets lost and doesn't want to load the requested page. There doesn't seem to be a time it's worse then other times.

Example for you

I try and load a forum such as the new holland section and IE will hang and not even show a progress bar for the page it's trying to load. Sometimes the page will load and other tmes it will never load. IE will just sit there lost and never load the requested page.

Hope this helps

The times it happens to me it is either all or none. Either everything loads fine, or everything loads slow or not at all. Doesn't matter whether it is a forum, thread, or post that I try to open. Seems that the whole site just suddenly slows down. As I have mentioned, when that occurs I can go to other web sites and the loading is normal, i.e. very fast.

TBN has been "hanging" for me for the last month or so, I have been awaiting the new server upgrade...

I always go to the "Since My Last Visit" when I login, the new posts come up and I start clicking, but TBN hangs up ALOT when going back to the list. I have to keep hitting the stop and refresh buttons to get the list back. Sometime I have to click the "Since My Last Vit" again.

I have cleared my cache, deleted cookies...

Its getting old!

To All Experiencing "Hang Problem"

Please provide as much of the following information as you can. Since the problem only affects some users and not at all times. This is one of those very difficult glitches to find. Unless we can duplicate it (as they say), we can't fix it. With the info below from those who have this problem, maybe we can isolate a program or configuration that is causing this.

Unfortunately, none of us at TBN HQ have had this problem. We will continue to work on it.

Being a computer dummy, I haven't responded to this thread until now, but I'll give'er a try. At 7:38 a.m. CDT, I was looking at the list of "Since my last visit" which, at that time, contained 11 posts. I right clicked on the "B7100 Replacement" thread, then on "Open in new window". I immediately got a new window, blank screen, but http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/86902-b7100-replacement-new-post.html in the address bar. The progress bar at the bottom eventually got to the half way mark when I finally gave up after about 4 minutes (7:42 a.m.), clicked on the address bar, hit Enter, and pretty promptly got that thread. At the bottom of the page, it said "Generated in 0.14557 seconds with 15 queries".

Access Type/Speed: DSL/1.5 meg.

8:07 a.m., on a new "Since My Last Visit" page again, I clicked on "Mark All Read", and after 2 minutes, finally clicked on it a second time, and it worked.

I'm getting it very routinely, have been for what seems like quite a while. This is the only site of several that I frequent with the issue. Given my frequency, I cannot not see it related to a particular thread or forum, I get it in all. My info:

Processor: Pentium 4
RAM: 512
Operating System & Version: XP Home (2002), SP-2
Browser & Version: IE 6
Anti-Virus Software: McAfee
Spyware Software: Spybot, Ad-Aware

Yep, it's about the same for me. I usually just click on whatever is hung again and the second or third time I click on it, it usually goes ahead.

I have 3 different computers here, one is an XP Pro SP2, another is a Windows 2000 Server, and one is a Windows 98SE. All three have one form or another of Pentium processor and all have 1gb of ram. All three exhibit the page hanging. I even get hanging when clicking "Mark All Read", and "save" on the edit post screen. It's really getting annoying since this is the only forum where this happens. All other vBulletin forums I visit work with no issues.

Here is the info for my XP Pro system:

Make of Computer: generic (ASUS P4S800-MX motherboard)
Processor: P4 2.4 ghz
RAM: 1GB
Operating System & Version: XP Pro SP 2
Browser & Version: IE 6 w/latest updates
Anti-Virus Software: Norton
Spyware Software:
Any other memory-resident software:
Internet Access Provider: TDS
Access Type/Speed: DSL 1.5 meg

Exactly what I'm doing as well.

By the way, I forgot to include that my P4 is a 2.66 if that makes a difference.

Same problem here. I just click like Bird does. Hope they find a fix soon!

Happens sometimes---when it does it seems to be everything on the site. I'll pull another browser (IE 6) and run a speed test and I'm fine, so it seems to be the site. Sometimes it's fine. Have not noticed any pattern

Locally built
Athlon 2200+
512mb
XP-Pro SP2
Grisoft AVG
Zone Alarm firewall
Spybot
Provider-tds.net
DSL-1.5

I use a Linkskey KVM switch and am networked to another PC in the office, but I use that PC exclusively for running MS Office software, Front Page, and a few other business applications. It is not always on, and I have paid attention to that....it makes no difference if it is on or not.

We seem to have found the likely culprit, and fixed it. Please report if you have the problem from this point forward.

Thanks...
