Will 3 inch pipe pass code? Can you use ABS or does it have to be SDR?
The way I see it, you can dig the open trench for most of it, which makes it a simple do it yourself project. The section under your neighbors patio is where the challenge is located.
When I had my 6 inch water line installed under the State Highway, with permits, the labor was $3,000. I had to buy the 6 inch pipe and the 8 inch metal pipe that the six inch pipe goes into. They drilled the hole first. Then cut and bent over the metal pipe to create what looked like the tip of a bullet. They welded on an eye to the end of the metal pipe and attached a chain to it. Then they used a backhoe to pull that metal pipe through the hole. It went 100 feet just as easy as could be.
Seeing what they did, I wonder if the plastic will have enough strength to be pulled through the hole you have in place, and how you will attach your chain to it? Maybe run the chain all the way through the pipe and have it connceted to something at the end of it so it's pushing the entire pipe? Will the pipe crumble or break if you hit a tight spot? then what?
Can you use metal pipe for the drain in that area?
Can you bore or pull out the existing drain pipe?
Good luck,
Eddie
