Bobcat CT2025
Has anyone ordered Bobcat's optional cab and installed it on a CT2025? My dealer had a CT2025 on the lot with the cab installed, it's the one I test drove. Looks like a factory cab on the outside, but the inside is hard plastic surface and didn't seem to do anything for the noise. It had heat, but no A/C and he wanted $15k CAD more for that tractor. From my shopping that seemed like too much for a cab, factory cabs with AC on other brands cost less to upgrade. I'm wondering how much of that was shop labor and if they will sell the kit for self-installation. I may inquire about that and consider the upgrade once my house is built and the woods trails are cleared on the lot. As expensive as it was, it was still quite a bit less than a CT2535 which is the lowest hp you can order the factory cab on, perhaps that is their game during this time of low inventory.

I have the older version. a bobcat CT 225. I purchased a factory steel cab and installed it myself for my tractor. It has heat but no AC. I believe the cab was made by a company called Cozy cab for bobcat and came with a bobcat logo on it. I am very happy with it. all of the glass panels are lined with steel and have prevented many glass breaks because of that. Only negative is that it is a bit loud compared to a factory cab. But it is a very thought out design with doors that are easily removed and have hold opens for more ventilation in summer

You’ll be unhappy with the performance on that tractor if the can had AC. It takes 5hp to run an ac property. You’d have one struggling CT2025. There’s a reason they only go on 35hp and up

That's a nice looking setup you have there.

For those interested, my dealer told me today that the CT2025 cab kit rounds off to about $9,000 CAD for someone that is going to order and install themselves. Upgrading the 35hp tractor to the factory cab model is approx $14,000 so that is pretty good savings and all that is missing is A/C which is fine in my climate. The bigger picture is that my tractor price plus the optional cab would be around $31,900 and the 35hp model which is the cheapest Bobcat you can order with a cab comes in at about $41,000. That's pretty significant. Here is a picture of the CT2025 my dealer kitted out with the optional cab. The price with their labor was about another 6k and just not worth it in my opinion so for me it would have to be DIY.

New here and bought my ct 2035 open station in October. Have now decided I want a cab and heat. No cab tractors available, couldn't find much on bobcat tractors with the "field cab" except this post. Adding pictures here for others to see and ask questions if they want. It is going on the tractor hopefully this week. Pending projects currently in the shop. I considered building one, but with the cost of materials and time I have, it made sense to buy a cab from the manufacturer.

I don’t mind saying I wish I had a cab today, I was soaked by the time I finished blowing the driveway while there was wet snow falling.

I look forward to hearing how the field cab works out for you. In a couple years I’ll likely compare buying the cab vs trading my 2025 minus the backhoe for a 2535.

Someone recommended a snowmobile helmet with a heated visor to me. I wired in a 12 volt socket so could just plug it in. I use ski goggles for now but I was basically a wet snowman after finishing the driveway.

We got the cab mounted on Wednesday, fit and finish is great. I installed the hydraulic side of my 3rs function valve while the seat was off. Still was able to get it all on and hooked up in a day. Things to keep in mind is the heater core lines need to be primed with coolant before hooking up for good. Otherwise it's a HUGE air pocket in the heater core. So far I love the cab. I opted to not purchase the insulation package because it was an additional 1k. Figured with the cab and heat it will be a huge step in comfort while using the tractor in the weather. It is louder inside the cab while running the tractor, ear plugs or something for the long days of plowing and working inside. With the windows open it's better though. The front glass tips out a good 6-8" at the bottom and the rear glass is defrost type and opens as well. I added some work lights to the rear upper corners and waiting for a switch for this. I included the pictures inside and also the hydraulic connections to see how tight everything fits. I'll add more later.

That’s awesome. Hard to go without a cab once you have one. I too was very surprised at how much noisier it was with the cab on. I spent quite a bit of time trying to reduce the decibel level inside the cab with some success. I cut some pieces of carpet to put on the floor for the winter with some padding that helped. also I bought some 1 inch wide by approximately 3/8 thick foam weatherstripping and ran it along the steel supports all inside the tractor. I also used sound deadening under coating under my fenders and rubberized flashing tape where I could under the seat underneath the tractor to absorb sound. Was able to reduce the decibels inside the cab quite a bit.
