When you have 2 cylinders connected hydraulically but not mechanically, one will almost always ( like 99% of the time) lag behind the other. This is perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned with.

There are so many factors, hose length, cylinders not being exactly the same, basically a hundred variables. As a matter of fact, I don't know if I ever saw 2 cylinders connected hydraulically but not mechanically extend and retract the same.

I never have either. I would call this perfectly normal behavior.

Most loader manufacturers have figured out it is a lot handier for the operator when the two sides of the QA unit are tied together mechanically.

My forklift's tilt cylinders are like that. If you watch, one side is always ahead of the other. If you look, the one that extends/retracts faster probably is closer to the valve/supply or has a shorter hose.

Is this with the mast on the truck? If so, your rod ends need to be adjusted. Over time, you can damage the mast bushings.
