One Sad Auction

If your interested in old stuff and love auctions, here is the place to be this September. Auction

I have stayed at this guy's place and he has stayed at my place. His wife, daughter as I write this is staying at our house. This was one very interesting person and you just loved being around him. But this auction will be sad for the family. This was Dan's love and the families but it has to go. There will be more pictures coming. There is over 70 tractors including crawlers and thrashing machines. I know my calendar is set. This guy also was in part responsible for the big thrashing and steam engine show every year in the upper midwest so there will be a lot of people there.

Wow. He had a very large collection. I guess, for someone who restores old iron like that this auction will be a treasure trove of stuff.

What an amazing collection. It is sad that he has passed on but at least a lot of this stuff will probably move into the hands of people who have the time and money to fully restore them and put them on display for all to see.

I took the liberty to send a link to this post to RFD TV with a request that they cover the auction and if possible, some pre auction coverage. I have done this before and have had good results. I think it would be of interest to a lot of RFD TV viewers. Thanks for the post

I don't know which one it is, but one of the girls is keeping it as her dad gave it to her many years ago but it was appraised at $115,000. Not too shabby I guess.
