So, the rake I am building is front mount. Do you think there is any importance in making the rake able to angle like a conventional rake? If I do the angle of this will be limited due to striking the front tire.

Seems to me some angle possibility would be to your advantage.

No pix... just drawings so far.. Won't start to weld until July 1 due to my schedule.

Yea, you really want the rake to angle. Try to get 20 degrees of angle into the design. When I say angle, I mean it swivels so material can be guided to the left or the right. Actually, all directions of movement are important. Angle side to side, lifting and dropping of course, and swivel to cut into a hillside you are driving across (like you want to make a sidehill trail more level). If all of these are possible, the uses for a rake are endless.
I like your idea of putting it out front! It will work like a cat, where you will drive on the already-raked surface, making it real productive. We need pictures though.
