They have a vacuum device, incl. tank, that costs about $50, as I recall.

Make sure you start the engine and warm it up good. Any suction gizmo usually has a relatively small suction line because a lot of them are designed to be inserted into oil dipstick points.

Mercedes Benz dealers say this is the way they change oil and than the Benz engines are designed for this. Their oil filters drain oil to the sump. Even on my old 1983, this is the case.

I have this little pump that you put on your drill that works really good. I got it from the place I bought my boat. Any boat place will have them as for I/O's that is about the only way to change the oil. Again as said earlier best to have the oil warm.

Boondox:

I have used a LiquiVac vacuum oil extractor for about the past two years to drain the oil in autos, trucks, mowers and other small engines. It will work on any engine that will allow the drain tube to reach the bottom of the oil pan. The only engines it won't work on are those without unobstructed access to the oil sump such as on some ATV's. It is plastic and less cumbersome than the Topsider and similar extractors. I got mine from Northern Tool > http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&langId=-1&catalogId=4006970&PHOTOS=on&productId=465467&categoryId=0 < but it is sold by many vendors on the internet and sometimes turn up on eBay.
